His Cake

On February 6th of this year, I remember asking my future husband of how his cake would be on our very own wedding day and he gave me a cool, calm, collected answer. A DIAMOND-shape. And I was like-- HUH? Where did you get that idea, man? (with great disapproval) but wait, how do I define a real diamond he was talking about or should I say from his best reply, is that how HE DEFINE his feelings toward his woman; the person whom he has chosen to be with for the rest of his life? So should there be more questions to raise? After a long pause, my heart suddenly jumped and went back to reality. What on earth was that that I heard from him-- I cannot picture a diamond-shaped cake standing with its sharp point in front of a crowd in a wedding reception, can he? Or should that be sculpted flatly on its cakestand? I was trying to expound on a more symbolic creation with both of our personality manifested on it or something as a take-home gift (but it's gonna be the real cake for cutting too)... I mean, the cake could be a replica of the DRUMSET he has been playing with 8 years ago when we were beginning to be boyfriends and stuff or anything funny, stuffs like that... but it's fine, I just went hysterical as an initial reaction and that would do. Can that possibly be made with a gum paste? Ah, so much for that. The design will surely change later on once he changes his mind.

STATEMENT. One unique way I can surprise my fiance and maybe our guests is to have our personal wedding vows be written around the cake to make it more unforgettable and special. I sure hope Karla Magbanua's Art is the answer in line with capturing what we really wanted on our simple celebration.
